WHITESNAKE Guitarist DOUG ALDRICH Demos Marshall JMD:1 Amp (Video)
March 14, 2012On December 9, 2011, WHITESNAKE guitarist Doug Aldrich and drummer Brian Tichy hosted a question-and-answer session and performed at Nevada Music in Portsmouth, England.
Marshall fan Doug took the time out to talk MusicRadar.com through the company's JMD:1 amplifier that was part of his live rig throughout WHITESNAKE's 2011 world tour. Naturally, he played a few classic WHITESNAKE riffs in the process. Check out the video below.
WHITESNAKE will be on hiatus from touring throughout 2012 after completing its successful "Forevermore World Tour". The band plans to spend 2012 in the studio, mixing live recordings made during the 2011 tour. There are also plans to edit and mix a live in-concert DVD from the tour. Other 'SNAKE-related projects are also in the works, including new material, though there are no definite plans to record a full studio album at this time. Some of the band members will be keeping busy with other musical projects throughout 2012 and WHITESNAKE's official web site, Whitesnake.com, will try to provide information related to their activities, as well as the individual members' web sites.
WHITESNAKE's new album, "Forevermore", sold around 12,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 49 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded, produced and mixed by Los Bros Brutalos (Coverdale, Doug Aldrich and Michael McIntyre).
